Wacky Wednesday

When you were younger did you ever read the book Wacky Wednesday?? It was by Dr. Suess I believe, and I absolutely loved it. It reminds me that there is something wacky everyday we just need to observe it. Something extremely random and wacky question today is: Why is it the "social norm" to get married? I honestly will get married when I am older, and I believe that marriage is important but who started it? What was the original point of it? Do any of you ever have weird thoughts like this??

My Random Thoughts Monday

I know I never even finished out the week with my blogging! It was a crazy week. Being the last week of volleyball season and HALLOWEEN I was really excited.
Which reminds me:
I never told you about my Halloween!!
I dressed up as a cowgirl this year, and I thought I was pretty darn cute for a last-minute costume.
(Plaid Shirt-Goodwill Overalls-Goodwill Boots-Borrowed Hat-Some shop in Palm Springs) (p.s. aren't those overalls to die for?!)
All the Kids in my family, and our costumes:
(Order from left to right: T-Harry Potter M-Princess M-Cheerleader M-Cowgirl)
Madalyn and I babysit this darling little girl. What's ironic about her costume(Rapunzel from Tangled if nobody knew who she was, which by the way would be very sad)? She has the shortest hair of all of her friends the same age as her.
Halloween night was spent playing a volleyball game, then taking two cute little girls trick-or-treating with my friend Damon. It was extremely fun because we ended the night with the movie Polturgeist II. It's sort of a tradition to watch one of the Polturgeist movies on Halloween.

Thoughts-of-mine Thursday

Today I'm missing this guy:

*November 2010, 2 nights before he left for South Africa*

This is my Cousin, Scooter. He is serving a mission for our church in South Africa right now. He has almost been gone a full year, which means he only has one more to go. I want to see him now, but I know it is important for him to serve the people in South Africa so they can learn of the truthfulness of our gospel. Being the Holiday season my Grandma has had all of us write letters for him and he'll open one a day. I hope he likes them a lot, and I hope it helps him teach the people of South Africa.

Tempting Lyrics Tuesday

When I grow up, I want to play this song at my wedding. It is just super cute! You and I by Ingrid Michaelson Don't you worry there my honey We might not have any money But we've got our love to pay the bills Maybe I think your cute and funny Maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you if you know what i mean Chorus: Oh let's get rich and buy our parents home in the South of France Let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance Let's get rich and build our house on a mountain making everybody look like ants Way up there you and I, you and I Well you might be a bit confused And you might be a little bit bruised But baby how we spoon like no one else So I will help you read those books If you will soothe my worried looks And we will put the lonesome on the shelf Chorus(2 times)

My Random Thoughts Monday

Wouldn't it be awesome if it was socially accepted for girls to wear moustaches??
Just a few years ago(can't believe it's been that long), all the girls in my church put on a skit where we had to dress up like guys, and the first idea for dressing up was: MOUSTACHES!! That's where this picture comes from.
Happy Halloween to everyone!! Have a fantastic time trick-or-treating! I will be playing some volleyball and hopefully destroying the opposing team
*Here is me in my 12-year-old gloriousnessness (AKA Awkwardness)*

*My all-time favorite Halloween costume from last year, The Mad Hatter has new expectations now*

There are 101 Reasons Why I Haven't Posted...

BUT I think I'll just tell you why I am posting...
1. In less than 3 months I will be driving!!
Which means I need to find a nice(but cheap) car within those four months, so that I don't need to just borrow one of my parents cars instead. I would love an older/vintagey car but obviously most of those are stick-shift and I can barely drive with just the gas and pedal- I can only imagine what it would be like putting a cluth in there as well... So if anyone has suggestions of places or types of cars to look at I would love you :)
2. School has been super fun this year
*Me on the first day of 6th grade*
I am not a huge fan of school, but I still try (occasionally) to answer all the questions and do my homework. And my friends are super chill.. yes it's true we are a little awkward and we like to either be absolutely silent or sing and dance to Highschool Musical(no joke, the other day I walked up to our table with my other friend and they were all singing and dancing to High School Musical's "Stick To The Status Quo", so I proceeded to join them while my other friend walked away totally stunned).
3. My School spirit is surprisingly LARGE this year

*Serving in Volleyball(see my knee brace?? it makes my knee look ridiculously fat)*

I go to a high school that really is not very school spirited. We lose every football game, and most other sports actually. This year is only the 5th year it's been open, and I feel like our school finally has enough spirit to make it not completely weird to dress up for spirit week( speaking of which, our spirit week was last week, and I dressed up for 3!!!! of the days). ANd our football games have become the best place to go on Friday, normally Thursday(since we don't have our own football stadium) Nights.
4. I love my Sister so much...
I have a sister who is exactly 16 months younger than me. We don't look anything like eachother, but we act EXACTLY the same, almost like twins. She and I share a room too, which is surprisingly a bonus(even though I sleep on the top bunk). I should convince her to guest post on this blog once I get a few more followers :)
5. CHURCH
My religion is a HUGE part of my life, and I don't find it as much of a burden anymore than just a way of life for me. I absolutely love my religion, and I don't want to try to convert anyone but I think it's really important to stand up for your church at all times.

Be prepared for a semi-new school year facelift!! I think I will be doing events such as: My Random thoughts Monday Tempting Lyrics Tuesday Weirdo Wednesday Thoughts Thursday(My crazy/random thoughts) Flaunt-It Friday(my Fashion day) PLEASE FOLLOW BECAUSE I PROMISE YOU WON'T REGRET IT :)
