I choose to pull out my $3 animal print skirt from a thrift store. And then I choose to take a crappy picture of my outfit so you get the idea. Now excuse me as I go spin around in my flowy skirt.

| Weren't we cute as kids?? |
Dear Weather,
I seriously dislike you. I want it to be sunny, not gloomy and dreadful.
Dear School,
Please end. NOW.
Dear Friday,
You cannot come soon enough.
Dear Grass,
I so not appreciate the cuts i have all over my legs from ice blocking on Saturday.
Dear "Don't Drop That Thun Thun Thun",
You may be a fun song to dance to, but when it comes to everyday life, you suck. It isn't even a good song children.
Dear Freshmen,
Watch out because this girl is a part of LINK CREW next year. Yep, that's right, I will be giving you your tours and all. Enjoy it, please.
Dear Music Lovers,
Watch this and die of love:
Sincerely,
Yours Truly

Dear Ragnar Relay,
I loved this past weekend. I missed my daddy, because he was running in your race, but I'm glad I had his car all weekend. I was able to go to the beach, and to San Clemente.
Dear Ward Cookbook,
You have the best cookie recipe ever on about page 20 of the dessert section. Boy are the cookies delicious, and the cookie dough is even better.
Dear Hair,
I am going to cut you because it has gotten too long, but can you please have my bangs grow faster?? I'm sick of them now.
Dear Sun,
I loved you all last week, and I already miss you. Can it please be Summer already??
Sincerely,
Kenzie

My Adventure at Mormal..
WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD
Mormal was the absolute best. I had never been before, but seriously, it was amazing. About 4 days before the big night, one of the dad's in our group sent out a mass itinerary. Boy was it ridiculous(like a good ridiculous, not bad). It had everything we were doing from the time we met at 3:45pm until we came home at 1am. The basic agenda included:
Pictures in Laguna Beach at a restaurant
Pictures at the art gallery next door
Pictures in this alleyway in Laguna Beach
Eat at the restaurant we took pictures in
Eat delicious and nummy Gelato in Laguna Beach
Then we finally go to the dance
We ended up taking some pictures outside of the dance, which was at the beautiful SOCA University
Leave early from the dance to go Cosmic Bowling in dresses and suits!

The whole group outside of the dance... It was freezing cold!

My date, Xander, and I

Getting delicious Gelato(Italian Ice Cream)

The whole group at the art gallery(I really liked the effect it added to the pictures)

Will you...?
In February, I got asked to Mormal(Mormon Formal) by my good friend Xander. I was super stoked when I came home one night to this from him:

He decorated the porch with cookies, Flowers, and a bunch of Lucky Charms that got stuck on the bottom of my shoes
Here was my response:

How to throw the BEST Mormon Party... For Teens
DISCLAIMER: These Photos are in NO specific order
Being 16 is a pretty big deal. I went back and forth on having a Sweet 16, but ultimately decided it would be a great idea. One thing about Mormon parties is that everyone in the ward helps each other out, and people rarely spend over $400. But with this party, it was a little difficult to keep under budget at first, but eventually we made it. Here is how any person can throw the perfect party for a teenager(especially if you are Mormon):
1. PhotoBooths
Normally these are a little more traditional, but since they are so expensive, a guy in my ward set up the stuff we needed for our Roadshow pictures(a play my church is putting on). He is also a photographer, so he decided to just take picture of us and give them to my family on a CD. They turned out amazing!!
2. Great People
With just the right people, you can start a marshmallow war, or take some totally fantastic her-clicking photos.
3. An Amazing DJ(this guy happens to be one of my really close friends, friends)
Music is the most important part in setting the "mood" of the party. Make sure to pick music that is fun, and that everyone will want to dance to. My new friend, Travis, did a fantastic job!

(A random picture of me on my actual birthday with my cake)
5. What party doesn't end with planking??
Make sure to have a camera to take random shots like this one:

(On my actual birthday, my best friend dropped balloons off for me. Yes, I am in my Pajamas after a shower.. Who cares?)
6. Always make sure you have some sort of theme
I prefer just having a color scheme, so I went with blue and silver this time. I like having cute/classy decor.
Now, this cost of this party was NOT bad at all. Here are the totals:
DJ- $150
Photo Booth- $40
Food- $50
Balloons- $30
Great Time- FREE
GRAND TOTAL- $270
See? cheap and easy. Now go throw yourself the PERFECT party!

My New Years Eve
Consisted of a new years fiesta! Which means mexi clothing and mustaches. So I bought the shirt I wore to the dance about 6 years ago in mexico and I never wore it after that trip. Needless to say, I was ecstatic to be able to wear it on new years eve. After I put it on, I realized it made my figure look a little boxy so I found some ribbon in my mom's closet, cut it to the appropriate size, and then tied it around my waist. I think it looked very nice with the ribbon and definitely showed off my figure better.
After the amazing dance, I went over to my neighbor's house who was having an "after-dance breakfast". All us teens shoved our faces with nummy cinnamon rolls and crepes, then talked about life. It's ironic how you can be so tired yet so awake at 2am talking with your friends. All together it was a safe, fun, and totally rad night!! Welcome 2012!

Fall Fashion Favorites
I know I've been lacking on my fashion posts, mainly because I'm at a complete stall with all fashion ideas. Occasionally I have these crazy random ideas, but put myself back to normal before I look like a freak in public. Now that school has started, I feel more obligated to dress cute everyday and actually wear makeup so therefore I will post more clothing items soon.
I wore this skirt on a pioneer trek just in the beginning of August, so trying to wear it again is a lot of pressure to make it look cute and normal. I think I did a pretty good job with it
Right now I have an all time favorite shirt, and a fabulous pair of shoes that I'm sort of obsessed with! The shirt looks like this:
Heritage 1981
And the shoes are the Sperry's shown in this post.
This Jeanish shirt thang is super easy to pair with some colorful jeans or tuck it in with a skirt, and it still looks completely fashionable. Honestly, I think I wear this shirt to often but it's so dang hot all the time that it's super hard to be fashionable! People hopefully don't recognize the shirt... until now ;) Anyways, here are some cute outfits where I have worn this shirt.
I wore this to my Highschool's 1st Football game of this school year. It was supposed to be a white out, but plain white shirt's are so boring, so I added this shirt and a cute colored pair of jeans.
I wore this to a church dance the other weekend, and absolutely love this outfit I put together in less than 5 seconds

Date Night.. Well as close as it gets
Saturday night is reserved for me and my sister(pictured below) as DANCE NIGHT!! Whoop-Whoop! Well just yesterday, our Grandpa decided to take my younger brother and sister fishing which led Madalyn and I begging my parents to take us with them on their little date... They finally agreed so we started the night with a movie at a theatre where we saw "Sarah's Key". Highly Recommended.
My Mom and I: (We looking freakishly similar in this picture)
Remember in one of my last posts where I shared my Love for Harbor House?? Well Me and my Best Friend Emily decided we would have a little Pre-dance dinner. We invited my other Friend Matthew and that night we all stuffed ourselves with yummy shakes, deliscous food, and fun looking posters all over the walls(I've decided I'm going to make my bedroom freaking awesome looking by putting sign up everywhere). Can't you just see the excitement all over my face?!
Being me, I ALWAYS HAVE to make things completely interesting and decided against taking pictures of the bathroom this time(Although the paintings on the mirror were pretty humorous). This theatre had their fair-share of old people and definitely tried to cater to them-whether it was the small theatres where no stairs are required to get to your seat, the mints they have for you as you leave the theatre, or the hand lotion in the bathroomyou can tell the workers are al very nice. It was my first time going to this theatre though so I was obliged to take pictures:
P.S. The Dance was REALLY fun, even though I have no proof
P.P.S Yes, that is nail polish on the table.. I felt obligated to paint my nails after a random couple kept staring questioningly at our table
P.S.S My shoes may be cute, but they made me feel old at the theatre where a bunch of old people had similar looking Sperry's.. And my shoes sadly have failed me by making me slip and fall during the dance :'(
P.P.S.S. Don't you think that white pants just look really cool in the dark?? Because I do and I am glad that I wore them for the dance

I have something I Moustache you but I'll shave it for later
Mormon Moustache Mania!!! Can you say Heaven??
This past Saturday there was (yet another) stake dance in my area. This time it was Laguna Niguel(Which always had EXQUISITE themes... ex. duct tape). So basically this Saturday everyone at the dance was a man, and I mean literally. If you "dressed up" as a girl, it was just socially unacceptable and unheard of. BUT then there's me, and I guess I'm just a socially awkward person because I grow my beard on my shirt and not my face(How do people find that so weird??).
ANYWAYS, it was a moustache themed dance!! And by far my favorite of the summer(which isn't hard to be my favorite since it was the 1st one I've been to all summer... weird, i know).
For the dance me and mi madre decided to find some shirts for me and mi hermana(that means sister) to wear to the dance. So basically we never go to Walmart but we tried it anyway, and found success!! With only a few cuts to the shirt, and a little felt, we made wonderful and homemade tshirts!!!
This is what it originally looked like:
After all the Designing:
And this is the shirt in action(well partially, i guess we are all leaning against a wall):
Thank you to my Mom and these lovely people to take a picture with me so it would look like I have friends!!
Disclaimer: I just lied to you. Those are just 4 of my friends. I have bunches. I'm not bragging or anything though.
